Types of Braces

Metal Braces

The most common type of braces are metal braces. These type braces use brackets and archwires to move teeth into alignment creating that winning smile. Today braces are made of quality stainless steel and provide more comfort than ever before. Traditional metal braces allow patients to add their personal flair with a variety of colored elastic bands.

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic braces are less conspicuous than metal braces, and are preferred by older youth and adults. They require extra attention, since they are larger than metal braces, and more delicate. Because of this ceramic braces are most often used on the upper front teeth.
